**OSDx** (*Open SDx*) is a network operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux.

OSDx can be run on standard ``amd64/x86`` systems and in proprietary ``arm64``
and ``armhf`` devices. It can be used as a router and a firewall platform.

OSDx includes many features, such as:

  * **IDS** (Intrusion Detection System) and **IPS** (Intrusion Prevention System)
    firewall services.
  * Support for numerous **networking protocols**: DHCP, DNS, SSH, Telnet, Netflow,
    etc.
  * Support for different **routing protocols**: NAT, BGP, RIP, OSPF, etc.
  * Several types of interfaces, such as *Ethernet*, *VLAN*, *WLAN*, *VTI*, *Bonding
    (802.3ad)*, *Bridge*, etc.
  * **QoS** (Quality of Service).
  * Multiple login mechanisms: **RADIUS** (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service)
    and traditional authentication mechanisms.
  * **IPsec support** (encapsulation, authentication and encryption).
  * PKI support (CSR, CRL, x509 certificates, etc.).
  * **Network ACLs** (Access Control Lists) and **PBR** (Policy-based Routing).
  * NIC offloading.
  * A wide range of monitoring tools.
